The Leak Assessment · Roofing and HVAC · Austin area
Diagnosis before prescription.
Measured on your own numbers.
Ninety minutes in your office and a read-only look at the tools you already use. In about a week you get a written report: where the money leaks, what each leak is worth, and the fixes you can pick from, including doing nothing.
Why pay for a diagnosis?
Nobody expects the doctor to prescribe before the exam. Most shops already own the software to fix their leaks. What's missing is a clear picture of where the money goes, in your numbers, and a plan you can act on.
I don't sell leads, and I won't ask you to switch systems. I look at what you already have and show you what it's leaving on the table.
What you get
- An owner interview in your office, about ninety minutes.
- A read-only look at your CRM or field software, your phone system and QuickBooks. Exports are fine.
- A written report: your current plan, a new plan, each leak with the math shown, and the fixes with prices.
- A walkthrough call where you ask anything you like.
What I look at
- Roofing: calls and inspection requests, estimates that go quiet, insurance jobs that stall, signed jobs that sit, final invoices and depreciation, reviews and past customers.
- HVAC: missed calls and slow replies, open replacement estimates, maintenance agreements, options and callbacks, aging equipment and reviews, job-by-job margin.
$497
The fee comes off the first fix you choose. About a week from the interview to the report.
The guarantee
Roofing: If the assessment doesn't find at least $15,000 a year in recoverable value, measured on your own records and counted conservatively, you get your fee back.
HVAC: If the assessment doesn't find at least $10,000 a year in recoverable value, measured on your own records and counted conservatively, you get your fee back.
Recoverable value is the yearly money you can get back: revenue you're missing (jobs that didn't close, money not billed or not collected, margin on work you already do) plus costs you can avoid (free callbacks, wasted labor). Each cause counts once, at the low end of its range, and only when the numbers come from your own records. The report shows revenue, costs and the total on separate lines.
Austin area only
I do the interview in your office, so assessments are for shops within about an hour of Austin.
Who it's for
Roofing and HVAC companies doing about $1M a year or more, where the owner wants to change something in the next ninety days.
How it goes
Five steps, about a week.
-
First · 20 minutes
A short call
A few questions about your shop, and one number from your own system. If an assessment isn't worth it for you, I'll say so.
-
Before the visit
Read-only exports
You send exports or screenshots from your CRM or field software, your phone system and QuickBooks. Nothing gets changed.
-
Day 1 · 90 minutes
The interview
I come to your office. We walk through how calls, estimates, jobs and invoices really move, and what you've already tried.
-
About a week
The report
Your current plan and a new one, each leak with the math shown, and the fixes you can pick from, with prices.
-
Then
You decide
Pick a fix, do it yourself, or do nothing. The fee comes off the first fix you choose.
After the report
You pick the fix. Or none.
Fixes priced in your report. You pick which ones, if any. Most run on the tools you already have. The fee comes off whichever you choose.
The overnight crew
Follow-ups, missed-call text-backs, reply drafts, collection letters and review requests written overnight. Someone in your office approves every message. What the crew does
A routine, written down
A close-out routine for roofers, a renewal routine for maintenance plans, a callback review. Set up in the tools you already have.
Do it yourself
The report is yours. If you'd rather fix it in-house, the plan tells you where to start.
Book it
Start with a short call.
I'll ask a few questions and show you one number from your own system before you pay anything. If an assessment isn't worth it for your shop, I'll say so.

Assessment questions
Before you book.
Why should I pay for an assessment?
Because a diagnosis is worth something on its own. You get a written report with each leak sized from your own records and the math shown, plus a plan you can run yourself if you want. And if it doesn't find at least $15,000 a year in recoverable value for a roofer, or $10,000 for an HVAC company, you get the fee back.
What counts as recoverable value?
The yearly money you can get back: revenue you're missing (jobs that didn't close, money not billed or not collected, margin on work you already do) plus costs you can avoid (free callbacks, wasted labor). Each cause counts once, at the low end, and only when the numbers come from your own records. The report shows revenue and costs on separate lines, so a cost saving never gets passed off as new sales.
What does it cost?
$497. The fee comes off the first fix you choose. The fixes are priced in your report, and you pick which ones, if any.
What do you need from me?
Ninety minutes of your time in your office, and read-only exports or screenshots from your CRM or field software, your phone system and QuickBooks. I'll send a short list of exactly what to pull. Nothing in your systems gets changed.
What if my numbers look fine?
Then the report says so, and you've spent $497 to know it. If it finds less than the guarantee floor, you get the fee back. I'd rather tell you there's nothing worth fixing than sell you something you don't need.
I'm on ServiceTitan. Can you still do this?
Yes. ServiceTitan doesn't allow outside companies to use your API key, so I work from the reports and exports you can already pull. Jobber, Housecall Pro, AccuLynx, JobNimbus and QuickBooks work the same way.
Which shops do you work with?
Roofing and HVAC companies doing about $1M a year or more, within about an hour of Austin, because I do the interview in person. If you're farther out, send a note anyway and I'll tell you if I can help.
What happens after the report?
We walk through it together. You pick a fix, do it yourself, or do nothing. Most fixes run on the tools you already have. One of them is the overnight crew that drafts your follow-ups and collection letters for your office to approve.
